FAQ

Your website shares the memory, computing power and bandwidth of the servers it resides on with other customers.

Another website cannot access your website or the resources it occupies. We set limits based on the web hosting offer you choose and can increase them if we see your website may need a little extra.

Bandwidth is shared and we throttle it to make sure everybody get's a fair share. If we see your website constantly needs a lot more, we will advise you and you are free to remain on the plan you have chosen.

We provide support via email only for standard support and you can expect a response within one hour during normal UK business hours (9am-5pm GMT, Mon-Fri).

Performance has support by email, online chat (Skype, etc) and phone

Our dedicated offer provides support options through a Service Level Agreement tailored to your needs.

We have listened to our customers over the years and they told us that they find figures provided not representative of the actual performance or quality of service. So we decided to not provide them anymore. We set base limits for resources depending on the plan you choose and can increase them slightly for individual websites needs.

If your site hits the limits a lot we may suggest you change to a higher plan for better performance, although you are under no obligation to do so.

If you like to know specific details on how much RAM is allocated and our service is provided, please get in touch on Twitter or directly by email - we love to talk tech and aim to be as transparent as possible. 

Other managed website hosting companies will, in most cases, not setup or amend your domain names, email accounts or website software. You will get access to a control panel and knowledge base and some technical support. If you want them to do something for you, you will usually have to pay extra for a 'white gloves' concierge-style hosting service.
